I want like on instagram! Crazy subscriber addicted people person concept. Close up photo portrait of attractive funny cheerful toothy lady using holding cellular in hand isolated bright background

Have you ever wanted to change style, but don’t know where to start? How many times have you thought about doing something crazy and going to the hairdresser’s for a bold cut? Or purchasing a lipstick on your favourite e-commerce platform and asking yourself: will this cherry-red coloured lipstick look as good as a nude colour?

Well, these doubts will soon be a thing of the past because technology has finally entered the world of beauty. Or better, augmented reality has arrived and, without asking for permission, it has placed itself between the real world and the virtual world.

Bye bye tutorial videos. Hello, augmented reality

Consumers have started looking for tools, devices and applications that substitute the decision to purchase a beauty product by trying it in a shop. Make-up, skin care and nail art are the first spheres in which technology is giving people the chance to test products in a virtual space.

Of course, tutorials are a thing of the past and the suggestions people give on forums are obsolete. These new scenarios were unimaginable until a short while ago and it’s surprising to think that 45% of the people claim that they prefer an App.

Why limit yourself to watching some videos in which a random influencer explains how to use certain products, when you can test it on yourself?

Some examples of beauty Apps you just won’t be able to do without

It has been created by Shiseido in collaboration with Microsoft Japan and Skype For Business. If you work remotely and you are planning on having a conference call, but you don’t want to put a full face of make-up on, this is the App for you. It applies virtual make-up (foundation, eye shadow and lipstick) to your image which appears on the screen during the conference call.

My Skin Track pH

Developped by La Roche-Posay, My Skin Track pH is an adhesive sensor you can apply to your skin. It is connected to an App and allows you to measure the skin’s pH levels to create personalised treatments.

Plum Perfect

Thanks to this App, you won’t have to think about how to put make-up on: just take a selfie and upload it on the App. It’ll analyse your skin and create the perfect colour for your lips, eyes, face and hair. A true 2.0 re-styling!

Style my hair

This App is developped by L’Oréal Professionnel and it allows you to exclusively try a new hair colour.

Beard Salon

Who said that all beauty Apps are for women only?  With Beard Salon, you can choose between a handle-bar or Dalì-style moustache, a thick beard or a shorter cut. In other words, it’s an out and out digital salon where you can try new types of beards and moustaches.

Not only personalised make-up and hair but also… technological accessories!

Do you love vibrant colours? Do you want to surround yourself with customised technological accessories that will be the envy of even the best geek girls?!
