Pixar recently confirmed that the fourth episode of the story starring Woody and Buzz Lightyear will arrive in cinemas during summer of next year. The famous production company has chosen to announce the event through a Facebook post depicting a load of post-it notes arranged to form the number 4. As seen from the image below, the precise date will be 21 June 2019, nine years after the previous episode.
What legacy was left by Toy Story 3?
Toy Story 3, released in 2010, was very well received by critics and brought to light the events of the cowboy Woody (of whom the recently deceased Fabrizio Frizzi played the voice) and the brave astronaut Buzz Lightyear who, in a touching way, were separated from their owner, Bonnie, who has now become an adult.
How will Toy Story continue?
It seems that Toy Story 4 will be written by Stephany Folsom, already working on Thor: Ragnarok, who has taken over from Rashida Jones and Will McCormack who have ended their relationship with the firm following differences with the company’s policies.
Apparently, according to some rumours, this new episode will not feature a sequel but will focus instead on the love story between Woody and the Bo Beep catwalk, which was not seen in the third episode.
But we must wait for the months leading up to the film to find out more, as these are just rumours right now.
The magic of Toy Story is also technological with Tribe
If the first three episodes of Toy Story were not enough and you don’t have the patience to wait until the fourth, remember that Tribe offers USB sticks faithfully inspired by Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Don’t let them get away!
