After last year’s edition success, with more than 30,000 visitors, Paris Comic-Con is back in 2016, from October 21st to October 23rd at Parc de La Villette, offering European fans the best of pop culture in 2016.
Following the example of Comic-Con International in San Diego, the most important together with Comic-Con in New York, Paris Comic Con is developing as well, about to become the next landmark in Europe for every comic book, movies, tv shows, videogames and cosplay lovers.
According to Comic-Con organizers, 2016 edition will be “greater, nicer, stronger”. Let’s have a look at the agenda to discover all the news and the guests. Tribe will be at Paris Comic Con with a stand where USB Flash Drives and power banks with Marvel, DC Comics and Game of Thrones (and more!) licenses will be sold.
A lot of international artists, illustrators, authors and cosplayers will be available in the three days to meet visitors, hold speeches and workshops and to present their last projects to the audience.
Among the great stars in Paris this weekend, there will be:
- Dominic Purcell, the hero in “Legends of tomorrow” and the main character in the TV series “Prison Break”
- Carice Van Houten, who interpreted Melisandre in Game of Thrones
- Tony Moor, the ideator of “The Walking Dead”
- Mike Colter, the actor interpreting the main character in Marvel’s Luke Cage for Netflix.
Fans will be able to meet them personally, to take a selfie and to bring back home an autograph.
The great agenda at Comic Con Paris 2016 will be divided in three days with exceptional content. Star Wars fans will even be able to live a space experience, plunging into virtual reality and battling with laser swords between planets in the Star Wars Galaxy.
There will also be a lot of exclusive previews:
- The first screening for Doctor Strange, the new movie coming into theatres on November 4th in USA and on October 26th in Europe.
- Two unseen episodes from the Star Trek Teleportation 2161 web-series
- The first episode from French tv show Dead Landes.
Cosplay will have a lot of space: on Saturday October 22nd there will be a competition where professionals and fans where they will test their ability in this exceptional artistic practice. The winner with the best costume will be chosen and decreed the following day (Sunday October 23rd) by a jury with actor and model LeeAnna Vamp and Marvel’s costume designers Stephanie Maslansky and Ann Foley.
Sunday will also be Family Day, to give families the chance to have fan with children: a lot of great surprises are prepared.
Many stands will be present with high-quality brand products, and as we anticipated earlier, also Tribe will have its stand.
Given last year’s great success, Tribe brand in 2016 was chosen by an important French retailer that will furnish its stand with the beloved USB flash drives and the original power banks, which are more and more appreciated by comic books and superheroes fans.
It will not come as a surprise if Tribe will also be in San Diego or in New York! Right now Tribe is confirmed to have a stand at other Comic Con editions in other cities.
