The new cinema season starts with a bang with the adorable Minions returning to our screens in the third chapter of the Despicable Me saga.
Distributed by Universal, the film managed to gain the title of highest-grossing animated debut ever in 11 countries during its opening weekend. In China alone, it earned $20 million in 24 hours. Current figures stand at around $900 million, earning the film a place of honour in cinema history.
Despicable Me has had unprecedented box-office success.
Day by day it outclasses its competitors with its overwhelming superiority, and at $3,5 billion it has become the highest-grossing film franchise of all time, based on worldwide box-office figures, far exceeding even Shrek.
What will we see in Despicable Me 3?
Join the adventures of Lucy Wilde and Gru as they hunt down super criminals. This time they find themselves face to face with the most dangerous criminal of all time: BalthazarBratt. Gru does everything he can to capture him, and in fact there are some nasty surprises waiting on the horizon.
The film previewed in Italy at the Giffoni Film Festival, presented by top voice-over actors Max Giusti, Arisa and Paolo Ruffini [respectively in the roles of Gru, Lucy Wilde and BalthazarBratt, Ed.].
Adele’s gesture of solidarity with the survivors of the Grenfell Tower disaster
Everyone is going crazy for the Illumination Entertainment film, and for this reason Despicable Me 3 can also show solidarity. There is nothing better than an animated film to bring a smile to the face of a child, especially one who has recently experienced a terrible tragedy as in the case of the children who were victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, the catastrophic event that took place in London on 14 June when a 24 storey skyscraper was destroyed by flames, killing 80 people.
The singer Adele organised a private screening of the film for the ex-inhabitants of the building, “to treat residents to a night of fun and help take their minds off what happened”.
The key element of the film? The Minions!
In this film, laughter and relaxation are transmitted mainly through the Minions, Gru’s famous little yellow helpers. These funny and bungling creatures feature in many exhilarating scenes: impossible not to love!
Undisputed lead players in the world of social networks, they have also featured in memes, GIFs and facebook pages followed by millions of people.
They have stolen our hearts with their strange and incomprehensible language. Their most well-known phrase – “Me want banana” – has also earned them a leading role in famous commercials.
The Minions also feature in the new Tribe personal tech collection, with the presentation of an important new product: a USB cable that doubles as a keyring, available in the classic version with yellow costume or the prison version.
That’s right, because in the new product series we also see Phil in the role of the prison Minion, expanding the already wide range of available three-dimensional USB flash drives.
Additional newcomers to the Minions collection include TribeVibe audio accessories and TribeMove travel gadgets, which will soon be available online at www.tribe-tech.com. The new products include:
- headphones
