Star Wars is one of the sagas that boasts the largest number of fans in the world,
The American company Morning Consult, aware of this mass trend, has launched a survey that involved 2,200 adult participants to decide on their favourite characters in the saga. Don’t miss the surprise results!
Princess Leila triumphs, but this is not the surprise!
With a very high 73%, Princess Leila won the majority of votes, followed by a 72% match between Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca and Yoda. Surprisingly, the third place with a very high 71% for R2-D2 which distinguishes him from his droid”colleagues”. Only sixth place, in fact, for C3PO with 65% and an eleventh place with 39% for BB-8.
What this survey shows, is that fans of the saga undoubtedly prefer the old characters to the new ones, just think that Jar Jar Binks, for many the most hated character of the saga, is even higher up in the ranking compared to Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) and Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones in Rouge One).

The poll reveals other truths about Star Wars
Survey respondents’ answers revealed other interesting truths about audience preferences. For example, the original trilogy was preferred over the more recent prequels, sequels, and more recent films in general.
The audience who were most interested in participating in the survey were those between 30 and 44 years of age, and this type of audience has claimed to have seen every Star Wars movie and, finally, to have purchased at least one Star Wars branded product.
