The new LEGO Batman is very close to come out by now, the over awaited animation movie directed by Chris McKay which will be on cinemas by the next 10th of February. What can we expect from this spin-off of The LEGO Movie (2014)? Here there are a few spoilers that will give you the opportunity to arrive prepared to the Dark Knight.
Batman, a cult character
As far as anyone knows, Batman is the superhero with the mask of a bat. He vigils over the nights of Gotham City fighting the crime. Designed by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, Batman – also known with his other nicknames: the Dark Knight, the caped crusader and the Death Wish – he made his debate on the “Detective Comics” by DC Comics in the far 1939 (called National at the time). Since then, he became a cult character, known and admired by anyone. Afterwards, he became the protagonist of many comics, tv series and movies.
Batman’s skills are renowned: the over-evolved perceptions, he’s a master in martial arts as in any other kind of fighting, physical power and superhuman intellect. Moreover, developed investigative skills and ability to figure out problems and deduct thrillers; he’s a real prodigy. To give life to this character is a huge spirit of revenge: Bruce Wayne (Batman’s alter ego). In fact, Bruce lost his parents when he still was a child due to an accident: they had been assaulted by a criminal. This is the reason that motivated Bruce to become the Dark Knight who fights the criminality and the evil. He has to face many dangerous enemies, including the most famous: Joker, The Penguin and Mister Freeze.

LEGO Batman will see the Dark Knight dealing a new challenge to save his Gotham City from wickedness: the enemy of the story is the most famous among the villains of Batman’s adventures: Joker. This time, if he really wants to defeat Joker’s harmful plans that brought disorder and pain in the city, Batman will find out that he will need to abandon his solitary role and ask the collaboration of his colleagues superheroes. They also were present in The LEGO Movies and lead by Batman as well. Will Batman and his team succeed in the endeavour?
In addition to the classic battle between good and bad, this film represents a journey for the hero. This journey will take him to a change and a rediscovery that will bring him more self-awareness. To do this, he will call into question his beliefs and his will to put justice on his own, realizing that often the team effort is needed to succeed. And maybe this time the Dark Knight will learn to not overestimate himself.
